The Prince · “Welded the gates shut to rule through spectacle.”
📍 Where You Are

Top of the Gatehouse Stair. The blacksmith's hammer has stopped, and the final iron bolt has cooled in its bracket. Below the gates, the last petitioner's scream has died away.

🔫 Your Loaded Gun

You control the first public sentence of the night. If you define the sealed gate as mercy, the guests will cheer; if you name its cost, judgment replaces gratitude.

Choose Your Action For Night 1:

The premise

Four insiders hide a forged guest list, a concealed fever, and a stolen costume while the clock strikes midnight.

Every morning, each player receives a private episode in their inbox: what their character saw, what they learned, and a choice only they can make. They reply with their decision whenever suits them that day, and the next episode follows from what everyone chose. No app, no account, no scheduling a time to play together.

The cast

4 roles. Each player takes one.

Prospero
Prospero
The Prince
“Welded the gates shut to rule through spectacle.”

You barred the iron gates while villagers begged outside and ordered a masquerade across seven colored rooms. Any rumor of plague inside threatens your absolute command.

Aurelia: Your cousin—you rely on her guest ledger to prove the sanctuary is pure.
Severin: Your physician—you need his word that no contagion entered the walls.
Livia: Your mask maker—paid to turn fear into beauty, yet her art feels like an accusation.

The Ledger Keeper
“Forged the guest list to smuggle loved ones inside.”

You secretly altered the official invitation ledger to save people you loved, erasing others. If sickness breaks out, your mercy will be called treason.

Prospero: The Prince—who will execute anyone found tampering with the gate list.
Severin: The physician—who needs your true list to trace contact in the rooms.
Livia: The artist—who watched her own brother lose his place at the gate.

The Physician
“Hid the first plague symptom to stop a riot.”

At dusk you found a servant with a crimson mark under the collar and locked the report away. Naming the Red Death could save lives—or cause a deadly stampede.

Prospero: Your ruler—demanding you pronounce the abbey completely healthy.
Aurelia: Keeper of the ledger—hiding which unexamined guests slipped inside.
Livia: The musician—whose workshop may be staging symbols of panic.

The Mask Maker
“Left her brother outside and sewed red thread into the masks.”

Your brother was shut outside the welded gate while you accepted the Prince's gold. Now the forbidden red shroud you sewed in secret is missing from your table.

Prospero: Your patron—who sealed the gate on your brother without looking back.
Aurelia: The gatekeeper—whose forged ledger traded lives on paper.
Severin: The doctor—covering up fever behind locked infirmary doors.
